Uh, sometimes "retouch" means "kick and re-draw a panel". I really, really wanted to leave panels with Ariya (the blond girl) untoned but they just would not play along well.
I'm trying to make this part quite calm and with slow, steady pace to show the difference with later part but I think I'm failing. I was playing with a shounen-magazine type page (action comic) in lecture today and it was coming along much much better. I want to use as little tones as possible and failing; but I'm just getting behind the "why". Now "how to fix it" is another, much longer story...
